        • Replaced small T1 circuit with 100 MBS circuit to better service agents.

        • Replaced antiquated, unsupported phone system with modern IP-based phone system.
        • Replaced antiquated physical servers with virtual and/or cloud-based servers.
        • Replaced antiquated security infrastructure with modern security infrastructure.

        • Replaced 150 legacy desktops with modern desktops.

        • Moved all systems to colocation facilities.
        • Led the recovery of systems from system disaster.  Systems were operation within 50 hours.  This occurred before Disaster Recovery systems were acquired.
        • Acquired Disaster Recovery systems to protect company information by obtaining C-Suite approval.
        • Led business continuity recovery after office building lost power for 5 days.  Able to perform critical business functions within 3 hours.
        • Led IT activities and was major stakeholder in replacing Legacy Policy Administration System with Package Policy Administration System.
      • Staff Development
        • Transformed legacy IT Network/Help Desk department into an IT Infrastructure service department to provide better service and solution quality by developing skills of existing staff and recruitment of new high-quality staff.

      • Change Management
        • Implemented change management processes within the first 6 months to better control development environment.
        • Implemented change management software for IT development.
        • Implemented Ticketing/Project software in support of change management.

        • Decreased the number of existing software defects in production by developing AI module that automatically captured data at the time the defect occurs. 
        • Replaced slow, unreliable, proprietary satellite delivery of Chicago Board of Trade data with fast, reliable XML-based internet based delivery without incurring external fixed costs and without increasing recurring costs. 
        • Completed complex, enterprise-wide billing system.  This 3rd effort of this development project was in progress when I joined the company and through the redesign, reorganization, and planning this project was completed.
        • Completed prototype of IoT solution project estimated to save and/or earn $6 million a year. 
        • Planned and executed development of Work Order Dispatch system to better manage the use of rolling assets. 
      • Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity
        • Rearchitected and implemented changes to ERP system to function in a DR environment.  Performed multiple successful rollovers of both development and production systems.

        • Transformed legacy IT Programming department into an IT Development service department to provide better service and solution quality:
          • Acquired a grant from the state of Iowa to retrain IT Development staff.
          • Developed skills of existing staff and recruitment of high quality staff.
          • Acquired Introduction to Agile and Agile Software Delivery training for IT Development staff.
          • Acquired Introduction to C# and Advance C# training for IT Development staff.
