Starting out 4 years ago, Mark’s company was only returning a 2% ROE, and was overspending on an underperforming IT division. Mark lead the technical streams on a 40MM companywide transformation. This touched almost every single application in the company. His 3-year strategic roadmap on the infrastructure side brought new technology, stability, and a 4MM per year reduction in cost. The company is now returning ~9% ROE.
13 years ago, Mark joined a startup bank that was 1 billion in assets, and not profitable. Over the next 8 years there, the bank grew to 20 billion in assets and a top 10 producer of mortgages in the USA. Mark led various M/A efforts, along with the foundational activities needed in technology and operations to support that rapid growth. Technology under Mark’s leadership became a competitive advantage for the company in the marketplace.
